OLD LYME, Connecticut — Longtime Corvette fans will herald the return of the B2K RPO, this time on a limited-edition, factory-built Callaway Corvette Grand Sport.
The 2012 Callaway Corvette 25th Anniversary Limited Edition marks a collaboration with Chevrolet that began with the 1987 Callaway Corvette, which was assigned the Regular Production Order (RPO) code B2K.
The latest B2K package from Callaway will be offered on only 25 copies of the 2012 Corvette Grand Sport, which will roll off the Corvette assembly line in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in April and be sent to Callaway for final assembly.
Customers can choose a coupe or convertible, with either the 3LT or 4LT Preferred Equipment Group, as well as a manual or automatic transmission. all cars will be finished in Cyber Gray Metallic with Carbon Flash roof and halo panel on coupes and a black cloth top on convertibles. In addition, they will be fitted with Callaway’s Carbon Fiber Aero package, which bundles a front splitter, rocker panel extensions and a rear spoiler.
The cockpit of the Callaway Corvette features ebony leather seats with Callaway steering wheel, door sill panels and floor mats. The 4LT package adds a full leather interior with suede seat inserts and red stitching.
Mechanical upgrades include a high-output supercharger system, with final horsepower and torque numbers still pending; a Callaway Double-D exhaust system; Callaway dampers and lower ride height; Callaway black chrome wheels; red brake calipers and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP tires.
The 2012 Callaway Corvette 25th Anniversary Limited Edition will be officially unveiled on April 23 at the Callaway Dealer Summit IV in Bowling Green.
